Beyond the Salt:

Why We Are Building the Regenerative Agricultural Training Center

If you have interacted with Kearney Family Farm recently, you probably know us for our Smoked Chili Salt. It is a product we are incredibly proud of. It is handcrafted, small-batch, and delicious.

But the salt is not the destination. It is the fuel for something much bigger.

We often get asked, “What exactly are you building?” or “What does ‘Regenerative’ actually mean?”

In a world filled with buzzwords and confusing regulations, we want to set the record straight on what we are doing, why we are doing it, and how you can be a part of it.

What “Regenerative” Means to Us

There is a lot of noise right now about “sustainability.” To some, it sounds like new rules, government overreach, or checking boxes on a form.

To us, Regenerative Agriculture is simply a return to independence.

It means farming the way it was done before industrial chemicals took over. It is about looking at the soil as a living system. When you focus on soil health by using natural compost, cover crops, and pastured animals, you do not need to rely on synthetic fertilizers or outside systems to grow food.

We are not trying to reinvent the wheel. We are trying to remember how the wheel used to turn. It is about self-sufficiency, healthy land, and nutritious food.

The Mission: The Training Center

Our long-term vision is to establish the Kearney Family Farm Regenerative Agricultural Training Center.

We believe the future of food security lies in decentralized, family-owned operations. We want to build a facility where we can teach others. We want to teach families, aspiring farmers, and community members how to take control of their food supply.

The Center will focus on practical, hands-on skills:

  • Aquaponics & Hydroponics: Growing efficiently in small spaces.
  • Mushroom Cultivation: Utilizing waste to create high-value food.
  • Soil Biology: Understanding how to heal the land.
  • Business Skills: How to turn a homestead into a livelihood.

Funding the Dream & Future Growth

We believe in the power of entrepreneurship. We are committed to earning this vision one jar of salt at a time.

100% of the profits from our Smoked Chili Salt and other products go directly into a dedicated fund to build this Training Center.

We are also thrilled to announce that our catalog is growing. In 2026, we will be launching 5 new salt flavors with vegetable chips to match, as well as a line of all-natural soaps. These new additions will allow us to expand our market nationwide, fueling the Training Center faster than ever.

For those who want to support the mission but may not need our products right now, we also gratefully accept direct contributions to the building fund. Every dollar whether from a sale or a donation goes directly into bricks, mortar, and soil to make this center a reality.

This is where our Independent Territory Sales Reps come in. We are looking for partners who want to help us expand our retail footprint. When a Rep opens a new account for us, they aren’t just earning a commission. They are laying the bricks for this school.

Whether you are a customer using our salt in your kitchen, a donor supporting the build, or a Sales Rep helping us get on store shelves, you are a partner in this mission. We are building a legacy of independence and education, and we are glad to have you with us.
