The “National Security” Gaslight
In 2026, “National Security” has become the favorite mask for ecological failure.
This week, the industrial complex successfully lobbied Kentucky into granting pesticide immunity, and now they are using the 2026 Farm Bill to do the same nationwide. Their argument? That glyphosate production is so “essential to national defense” that the companies making it should be immune from liability.
Let’s be clear: If a food system is so fragile that it requires a federal liability shield to keep from collapsing, it isn’t a “security” system. It’s a hostage situation.
They aren’t protecting the food supply; they are protecting a Competency Gap. They’ve lost the skill to manage biology, so they’ve legislated a crutch.
At Kearney Family Farm, we believe real national security is Soil Sovereignty. We are building the Regenerative Agricultural Training Center to teach the skills that make these “national defense” chemicals obsolete.
Every purchase of our artisan sourdough, culinary salts, and handmade soaps is a vote for Biological Independence. We don’t need immunity because we don’t use the toxins.
Stop funding the shield. Start funding the skill.
