Who Is the Hardest Person on Your Gift List?

Hard to shop for gifts: everyone has one name that stumps them every holiday season, from our Long Island farm kitchen.

Every family has one. The person who has everything, wants nothing, and answers “oh, don’t get me anything” with complete sincerity. Shopping for them feels like homework, and by December 20 you are panic-buying a gift card in a checkout line.

Here is the trick our farm kitchen taught us. Stop shopping for what they want and start shopping for what they use. Nobody needs another novelty mug, but everyone uses food. A jar of finishing salt lands on a table every single day. A bar of goat milk soap sits by every sink. These are small, honest gifts that get used up and remembered, not shelved and forgotten.

So tell us: who is the hardest person on YOUR gift list? Drop their name (or just their title, like ‘my father-in-law’) in the comments. The KFF community will help you crack it.

And while you brainstorm, start your list at kearneyfamily.farm. Our Artisan Mineral Salt Duo and soap variety packs are in the shop now, and holiday gift baskets are on the way.

Remember: 100% of proceeds support our Self-Sustaining Regenerative Agricultural Training Center.
